Via Train/Subway
Take NJ Transit or PATH Trains to Newark Penn Station. Board the Newark Light Rail toward either Branch Brook Park or Grove Street. For the Southern and Middle Divisions, exit at Park Avenue. Exit at Bloomfield Avenue to reach the Northern and Middle Divisions; the Northern Division is also accessible from the Davenport Avenue stop. The Branch Brook Park stop provides access to the Extension.

Via Bus

Via Car
Nearly two miles long and, on the average, one-quarter mile wide, there are multiple entrances for cars. The following directions all lead to the same central location near where Bloomfield Avenue crosses the park.

From the Garden State Parkway
Take Exit 148 toward Bloomfield Avenue. From the south, at the end of the ramp, turn right at light onto Bloomfield Avenue. From the north, turn left at the light at the end of the ramp, then right at the second light; at the first light, turn left onto Bloomfield Avenue. After 2.1 miles, turn left onto Lake Street. Take first left into the park. For the Middle and Southern Divisions, turn left onto the Park Drive; for the Northern Division and Extension, turn right.

From the NJ Turnpike
Take Exit 15W (I-280) toward Newark/The Oranges. Proceed on I-280 to Exit 14B toward M L King Boulevard. At end of ramp, turn left onto State Street. Take first right onto M L King Boulevard. After 0.4 miles, take slight left onto Bloomfield Avenue. After 0.6 miles, turn right onto Lake Street. Take first left into the park. For the Middle and Southern Divisions, turn left onto the Park Drive; for the Northern Division and Extension, turn right.
