Branch
Brook Park Farmers' & Community Market
(and two-mile "Walk to Better Health")
An
18-week Farmers’ Market featuring fresh produce, baked goods,
flowers, plants and various other products direct from local growers
/ producers to the customer. The program also offers health awareness
and nutrition information for customers, community organizations,
interactive activities for children and families (i.e. storytelling,
face painting), live music and more.

- The
Market is conveniently located in Branch Brook Park, in the
Middle Division Complex.
- Additionally,
each week we host a two-mile “Walk to Better Health,”
led by New York Sports Club.
Stakeholders'
Meeting
Established to provide local residents and stakeholders with
information about key projects and developments taking place in
the Park. Additionally, attendees are addressed by representatives
of both the private and public sectors and have the rare occasion
to meet with other stakeholders – merchants, property managers,
developers etc, who have a vested interest in the continued development
of Newark.

Essex County "Bloomfest 2007"
• 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Location: Visitors Center
All-day family fun, including Japanese cultural activities /
demonstrations, music, dance, arts and crafts.
Fishing
and Boating Derby
Hosted by the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and
Cultural Affairs, each derby is open to children ages 15 and younger.
Prizes in various age categories for catching the first and most
fish will be awarded at the conclusion of the derby. We provide
prizes, food and soft drinks for the kids.

Movies
in the Park
A series of three-family friendly outdoor movies shown in
after dark in the Park. Families, kids organizations and various
groups will flock to the Park, bring blankets and snacks and enjoy
the movie and other family friendly entertainment.
